Seven thousand one hundred and seven beautiful emerald islands scattered on the western edge of the Pacific ocean, the Philippines is grouped into three clusters, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Interestingly almost 4,000 islands spread all over the Philippines are yet unnamed! It is, to historians, a charming blend of east and west, a culture in its own right where prewestern values survive to the present day. Bigger than Britain, this tropical country is only slightly smaller than California or Japan.

Today's visitors find

sun-bathed beaches, old

castilian towns, natural

wonders, exotic fruits

and exquisite cuisine. On

its waters are found

2,000 species of fish and

some of the most

beautiful marine life in

the world.
